Sakala sends a love note to Rangers FC despite summer exodus

Despite the club dishing him out to Al Fayha FC for €4.7 million in the summer, Fashion Sakala Jr. has demonstrated that he still remains a die-hard Rangers FC fan.

Rangers FC opted to offload the Zambian winger to Saudi Arabia despite being one of the key players for them last season.

Sakala was one of three players to contribute to 20 goals in all competitions for the Glasgow-based outfit, scoring 12 and setting up a further eight.

However, these outstanding performances did not guarantee a permanent place for the Chipolopolo winger, who joined Al Fayha FC in August.

In a recent interview with Rangers Review, Sakala expressed disappointment regarding how he was treated by his former manager, Michael Beale, and the club hierarchy. The transfer came as much of a surprise to the Zambian striker.

Despite the summer ordeal, Sakala is still a keen follower of Rangers FC and continues to express his unwavering love for the club and its fans.

Fashion Sakala won the Scottish Cup with Rangers during the 2022-23 season.

The Copper Bullet took to Instagram on Sunday to celebrate Rangers FC’s record-extending 28th Scottish League Cup triumph. They got the better of Aberdeen in the final with a 1-0 victory courtesy of a James Tavernier goal.

In response to his former club’s most recent acquisition of silverware, Sakala wrote, “Proud 💙💪🏿“

During his stay at Ibrox, Sakala won the 2021-22 Scottish Cup, where he registered three goals and an assist in five games en route to the final.
