Zesco United has been drawn in Group D for the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup, alongside South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs and Egyptian duo Zamalek and Al Masry.

Zesco, appearing in the Confederation Cup group stage for the third time, last faced Kaizer Chiefs in the same competition in 2019. They secured a 3-1 victory in the first leg before winning 2-1 away from home.

Against Zamalek, Zesco drew 1-1 in the first leg of the CAF Champions League in 2020 before losing 2-0 away in Cairo.

This campaign will mark the first time Zesco faces Al Masry in the Confederation Cup.

Elsewhere, Group A features USM Alger, who will take on Djoliba SC, Olympic Club SAFI, and FC San Pedro. Wydad AC was drawn in Group B alongside AS Maniema Union, Azam FC, and Nairobi United FC, while CR Belouizdad leads Group C with South Africa’s Stellenbosch FC, AS OTOHO, and Singida Black Stars.

The CAF Confederation Cup group stage will kick off on November 21, 2025, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the knockout stage.
