Mighty Mufulira Wanderers put up an impressive 4-1 win against the City of Lusaka football club on Sunday afternoon at the Shinde stadium in Mufulira.
After the quick Evans Chisenga sped past two defenders to set up Clive Biyeta for the game’s opening goal, Abena Milambo took the lead two minutes into the contest.
Chisenga, the star of the show, provided another outstanding assist for Patson Kwataine, who made no mistakes in sending the ball behind the net for the game’s second goal, 14 minutes later.

No sooner had Kwataine finished his celebration than Biyeta scored his second goal to make it three for Mighty, courtesy of yet another classic assist from Chisenga, who completed a hat-trick of assists.
Chisenga, who proved to be a headache for the City defense, was on fire after 41 minutes when he selflessly set up Maxwell Mubanga to make 4-0 at the break.
In the second half, City played with a little more intent but the Wanderers’ defense was rock solid.
However, City later got their consolation goal in the 76th minute shortly after Wanderers withdrew Chisenga.
Abena Milambo, who are vying for promotion to the Super League, remain in second position with 40 points on the log standings and are closing in on Trident FC, who are now in first place with 41 points.
City, on the other hand, are 9th in the standings with 30 points, and this was their second consecutive loss in the league in their last six matches.
