Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has accused some of his Portuguese teammates of being jealous of him that’s why they find pleasure in criticizing him.

The World’s record holder of the most international goals in football history told Talk TV on Piers Morgan Uncensored show that he does not understand why he is criticized so much more than any other player.

Ronaldo has been the talk of the moment after part 1 of his 90 minutes interview with Morgan was published.

He has come under fire from Manchester United fans and management who are not happy with his sentiments that there is no progress at the club and that he does not respect current coach Erik Ten Hag, a thing which has led to the removal of his Mural at the Old Trafford stadium.

The six times Ballon d’Or winner has also wondered why the press and even his compatriots in the Portuguese national team criticize him so much.

“Around the world, the Press criticizes me even more,” he said. “Sometimes I don’t understand why even Portuguese players criticize me a lot, I don’t understand, I still believe that Jealous is part of that.”

Ronaldo is part of the Portugal national team squad for the 2022 FIFA World Cup and will captain the team in Qatar in what many believe could be his last World Cup.

Portugal is in Group H alongside Ghana, Uruguay, and the Korea Republic.
