Zambian forward Jack Kalichi Lahne has joined Austrian Bundesliga side Wolfsberger AC as a free agent.
The Chipolopolo forward has signed a contract that will keep him at the club until 2028.
“I’m very happy that the move to Wolfsberg worked out. I was already at the stadium for the game against Sturm Graz, and now I want to help the team as soon as possible. I’m really looking forward to my first appearances in front of our own fans,” Lahne told the club’s media.
Lahne, who made his Zambia debut in November last year against South Africa, will be looking to build on his impressive form in the Austrian league last season, where he scored 12 goals in 43 appearances for SC Austria Lustenau.
He made his second appearance for Zambia against Angola in a 3-2 defeat and was part of the Chipolopolo squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), where he managed just one minute of action in the goalless group-stage draw against Comoros.
The forward has also been left out of the Chipolopolo squad for next Friday’s 2027 AFCON qualifier against Burundi at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.
Following his move to the 12th-ranked Austrian Bundesliga side, Lahne will now look to regain his match fitness and establish himself at his new club.
