Mwepu reacts to Brighton’s warm-up shirts emblazoned with a tribute message for him

Brighton and Hove Albion FC on Friday night warmed up in t-shirts emblazoned with a tribute message to Enock mwepu who was forced to retire from football due to a hereditary heart condition.

The club who are in action with Brentford in the English Premier League, warmed up in white t-shirts emblazoned with the message “Chambishi to the Premier League” and “We are with you” as a show of solidarity to the midfielder who has hanged his boots at 24.

Mwepu has however reacted to the gesture in a Tweet with a symbolic message of love and appreciation to the club for the overwhelming support.

The big screen at the community stadium also showed a message, “we are with you” as multiple Albion fans are also seen waving the Zambian flag as a show of solidarity.

Brighton and Hove Albion FC has assured the midfielder of their support and promised to help him succeed with whatever his next step will be in football.

Their new coach Roberto De Zerbi also revealed he is ready to help Mwepu with his next step in football.
