Despite frantic efforts to negotiate with the player, Kaizer Chiefs failed to secure the services of Billiat and the Zimbabwean forward has remained unattached to any club.

Since then, Billiat has kept a low profile, but Sweswe believes the player is working on his return and still has the talent for the big stage.
Sweswe revealed to soccer Laduma:
“I think he has his own reasons to leave Chiefs; I can’t blame him for that. I will support his decision. You know last season at Chiefs, he was injury-prone.
“So I think he wanted to heal first and see his next move. I think he needed this sabbatical leave to figure things out. What I am sure of is that he has something cooking for him.
‘Something is coming up for Billiat’- Sweswe
“Something is coming up. You know he is quiet, even on social media. He is not like that so he is cooking something for sure. There is talent; there is no doubt about that.
“He can walk into any team and play. Top talent that cannot be ignored. So, I just hope he is safe and I wish him all the best.”

Next week, Zimbabwe will go into battle with Rwanda in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier without both Knowledge Musona and Khama Billiat in the fold for the first time in about a decade.
Both players who hanged their boots from the national team have been phenomenal in the Warriors squad, carrying the nation into three consecutive AFCONs, which was a first for the country.
