There are three certain things in life at the moment: death, taxes and a Kings Kangwa goal. Scoring for the seventh time in nine matches, the Chipolopolo playmaker was on target for Hapoel Be’er Sheva, who maintained first place in the Israel Premier League.

In England, Leicester City introduced Patson Daka from the bench as they suffered a 2-0 loss to Fulham in the Premier League.

Lameck Banda closer to return, Mutandwa features twice in two days

Lameck Banda commenced individual training as he prepares to return from an ankle injury. He missed US Lecce’s 4-1 defeat to Cagliari, which compatriot Kingstone Mutandwa watched from the dugout.

A day prior, on Saturday, Mutandwa played the full match for Cagliari U20s as they lost 1-0 to Hellas Verona U20, alongside countryman Joseph Liteta.

Mwepu unfielded again, Chikola starts

Francisco Mwepu has yet to get a feel for the turf in an official match this year. He was an unused substitute for the fourth consecutive game as Cádiz beat Eldense 4-1.

Meanwhile, Peter Chikola made the starting XI for Cádiz Mirandilla, while Gift Siame was chucked off at 25 minutes in Leganes U19’s stalemate with CD Diocesano U19.

Sabobo features for Zurich, Mphande keeps cleansheet

Joseph Sabobo Banda made a cameo in the 96th minute for FC Zurich, while Miguel Changa Chaiwa missed BSC Young Boys’ goalless draw with FC Winterthur.

Copper Bullets defender Gift Mphande registered a cleansheet in Hapoel Rishon Lezion’s 2-0 victory against Maccabi Herzliya. In Saudi Arabia, Emmanuel Banda started for Al Tai in the Saudi First Division.

Chama, Kennedy Musonda bow out of Champions League

Tanzanian champions Young Africans SC suffered an early exit from the CAF Champions League after drawing 0-0 with MC Alger in the final group match. Kennedy Musonda played the first 45 minutes of the contest, while Clatous Chama took to the field in the 68th minute.

Joshua Mutale was out of action for Simba SC in the CAF Confederations Cup due to injury, while Ghampani Lungu started for Supersport United in the South African topflight.

Mafwenta starts in club-friendly, Lubambo nears return

Golden Mafwenta played the first half of Metalist 1925’s 7-1 decimation of Rebel Kyiv in a club friendly. In Scotland, Ayr United were without Frankie Musonda as they posted an 8-0 win against Broxburn Athletic in the Scottish Cup.

Meanwhile, Chipolopolo skipper Lubambo Musonda is in the final stages of his recuperation from an adductor tendon tear and is expected to return by mid-February.
