Chipolopolo head coach Moses Sichone has named a 41-member provisional squad for the upcoming international friendlies against South Africa and Burundi set for November 14 and 18, respectively.

Notably, seven players from the previous squad have been omitted — Lawrence Mulenga, Frankie Musonda, Patrick Chooma, Kelvin Kapumbu, Emmanuel Banda, and Clatous Chama — while Edward Chilufya misses out due to injury.

Sichone has rewarded several local league standouts with maiden national team call-ups, including Eliya Mandanji (Zanaco), Solomon Mpasela (FC Muza), Yoram Chanda (Kabwe Warriors), and Aaron Musonda (Mutondo Stars).

The squad has also seen the return of veteran defender Stopilla Sunzu, who has been away from the team since November last year.

Sichone will trim before the team departs for South Africa for the first friendly.
