John Bosco Abwana, an 18-year-old football talent currently playing for Skäggetorp IFK in Sweden’s fourth tier, has expressed his strong desire to represent Zambia at the international level. Born in Zambia, Abwana is determined to honor his roots by wearing the national jersey and competing for his country of birth.

In an exclusive interview with BolaNews, Abwana shared details about his background and aspirations. “My name is John Bosco Abwana, I play for Skäggetorp IFK. I am 18 years old, and I play as a left-winger and a forward,” he said. Abwana explained that both his parents, Guy and Vivian Abwana, hail from Zambia, although the family now resides in Sweden.

Despite now being based in Sweden after leaving Zambia with his parents in 2021, Abwana is eager to make his mark in the world of football by representing Zambia on the international stage. “My dream is to wear the Zambia national team jersey,” he emphasized. “I hope the national team selectors will notice my potential and give me the chance to play for my country.”

“In the next five years, I see myself at the top. I am working very hard, I want to start playing for Zambia’s U-20 and U-23 teams,” he revealed.

His determination to succeed is fueled by the belief that his hard work will eventually pay off and open doors for him to represent Zambia.

Skäggetorp IFK, a club known for developing talent, has been an essential part of Abwana’s journey so far. He believes the club has provided valuable exposure and experience, helping him showcase his abilities and advance his career.
