The Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA) has suspended defender Teenage Hadebe for breaching the team’s camp code of conduct ahead of Tuesday’s Four Nations tournament final against Zambia.
ZIFA said the FC Cincinnati defender will miss one match after violating conduct rules, following his appearance in a TikTok video where he was seen dancing while holding a bottle of whiskey.
“The Zimbabwe Football Association confirms that Warriors defender Teenage Hadebe has been found in breach of the team’s camp code of conduct,” the statement read in part.
“Following this, a disciplinary decision has been taken in line with team regulations. Teenage Hadebe has been suspended for one match and will therefore miss the final of the Mukuru 4 Nations Tournament against Zambia. The player has since apologised to the team and the Association, and has accepted the disciplinary outcome.”
Zimbabwe defeated Botswana 3-0 to advance to the final, where they will face a youthful Zambian side that edged Malawi 9-8 on post-match penalties following a 0-0 draw.
