Keith Mweemba says he is ready to concede defeat should he lose Friday’s Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) election, where he is challenging incumbent Andrew Kamanga for the top job.

Mweemba says accepting election results is one of the fundamental principles of democracy.

“If I lose and the election is free and fair, one of the fundamental principles of democracy is not only having regular safe and fair elections. Alright. But also acceptance of election results,” he said.

He said that when he appeared on ZNBC’s Race to Football House programme on Thursday, he was not going to FAZ to seek a job.

“Keith Mweemba is not going to FAZ to seek a job. I am not desperate. In fact, that is what makes me more dangerous among all the candidates because I’m not desperate.

“For me, If I did not win, it’s hard luck. I thank the councillors. I congratulate the winner. And I go back and continue growing MUZA,” Mweemba said.
