Matthews Chabala, who joined Power Dynamos FC recently ahead of the 2026-27 super league season, has revealed his targets with the Zambian Premier league champions.
Chabala switched to the Kitwe side from Zesco United and has been part of the squad currently preparing for the new season.
Speaking to the club’s media, Chabala said he wants to help the team defend their MTN Super League title.
He added that another milestone he would like to achieve with the Oswald Mutapa-drilled side is reaching the group stages of the CAF Champions League.
“I think my target is helping the team defend the league,” he said.
“The other target will be to at least reach the semifinals of the CAF Champions League. Those are the two things I would be happy to achieve.”
Chabala also said he has blended well with the rest of the squad during the ongoing pre-season.
“I’ve adapted well to the squad, and it was easy since I’ve played against most of them before,” he said.
Power Dynamos is Chabala’s third club in the Super League, having previously played for Nchanga Rangers and Zesco United.
He featured in the CAF Confederation Cup last season with the Ndola side, where he also won the 2025 ABSA Cup title.
