Former Green Eagles striker Adamson Mulao says his former club has a 50-50 chance to do well in this year’s ABSA Cup.

Eagles are among the teams that will challenge for the country’s only elite cup competition.

Mulao has told BolaNews in an interview that with cup games, anything is possible but all his club has to do is apply themselves in every game.

“For the ABSA Cup, I can say a tournament goes with how you gear up on the day of the game,” he said. “It has its own atmosphere and at times even luck plays a role in such games.

“So if you have the two of those factors, on the day of the game, then you will grow from game to game in the tournament… Actually, this cup all games are finals because you lose, you pack,” he added.

Meanwhile, Mulao, who is also a former Zanaco player, has said it is shocking that the Bankers are fighting relegation.

Zanaco are in the relegation zone following a season that has seen them struggle to pick results regularly.

“Who can even think of Zanaco in the relegation [zone]? We are talking about Zambia B here, but like I said earlier, times have changed and we are all trying to do and adapt,” he said.
