On Saturday at Kitwe’s Arthur Davis stadium, Red Arrows delivered an efficient performance to overpower Play It Forward 4–1 and storm into the semi-finals of the ABSA Cup.

Chipolopolo striker Albert Kangwanda bagged a brace, while Alassane Diarra and Ackim Mumba added a goal each.

Dyson Phiri scored the consolation for Play It Forward.

Kangwanda shook the net in the 25th minute for the opener, shoot at an angle from a Mumba pass.

Five minutes from the break, Phiri earned Play It Forward an equalizer through a beautifully taken free kick much to the delight of the spectators.

Tied at the break, Arrows stepped up the gear in the second stanza, going in front in the 52nd minute after Kangwanda pounced on a Lazarus Chishimba pass to restore lead.

Diarra added a third in the 64th to extend Arrows’s lead.

Mumba put the game beyond Play It Foward’s reach with a bullet header to triple Arrows’ advantage.

“It was not an easy game” Arrows trainer Chisi Mbewe said.

“We knew playing a lower division side was going to be tough, “

Play It Forward coach Stanford Manda was gracious in defeat.

“I am happy for the boys, football is like that when you are playing a big team like Red Arrows it is a very tough game,” Manda said.
