Lille have signed former Barcelona centre-back Samuel Umtiti on a two-year contract.

The ex-Barcelona defender completed his medical tests with LOSC Lille as he returns to Ligue 1, reports Fabrizio Romano.

The France international pens a 2-year contract with Lille and the official announcement has been made.

Earlier this month, Umtiti became a free agent after he terminated his contract with the Catalan giants.

The 29-year-old spent last season on loan at the Serie A club Lecce, where he played a key role in helping them avoid relegation.
