Dominik Szoboszlai wants to join Liverpool with Newcastle pulling out of the running for the midfielder. This has increased the possibility of a deal being concluded with RB Leipzig.

After Liverpool held positive meetings with Szoboszlai’s representatives on Monday. They are now “pushing ahead” to sign the RB Leipzig star.

The Dailymail reports that the 22year old has a £60m release clause that is understood to expire on Friday.

Fabrizio Romano tweeted that “Liverpool are not ‘being used’ for Dominik Szoboszlai deal… he’s top target for Liverpool — and talks are concrete”

“Club sources confirm that negotiations are ongoing but still discussing about the final price.”

Liverpool are exploring multiple options as they look to enhance the technical quality, dynamism and depth in midfield, which they struggled in last season.
