Manchester United agree deal of £60m with Chelsea to sign the England international.
According to Sky Sports News the deal includes a potential £5m in add-ons. Mason Mount has been offered a five-year contract with an extra year as an option.
The Red Devils had a third bid worth £55million for Mount rejected last week. Since then, negotiations have continued in a bid to meet a compromise on a fee.
The 24-year-old is out of contract next year, so United did not want to overpay, especially given Mount’s stance that he will not sign a new deal at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are trimming their squad under new boss Mauricio Pochettino. They have sold Kai Havertz to Arsenal and Mateo Kovacic to Manchester City this week, while fellow midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek is close to joining AC Milan.
