Zambian coach Kelvin Kaindu will this afternoon be in search of a second win for Hardrock FC, who will be taking on Chicken Inn in a Week 3 Zimbabwe Premier Soccer League encounter set for Chahwanda Stadium.
On Saturday, Kaindu guided the Golden Boys to their historic first win in the top-tier league as they beat ZPC Kariba 1-0 on the road. After two matches, the team has picked up four points.
Chicken Inn has also picked up four points in their opening two matches.

Speaking in a pre-match interview, Kaindu stated that the newcomers are aiming to maintain their unbeaten run in the early stages of the campaign.
Kaindu said their win over ZPC Kariba has boosted the team’s confidence heading in this afternoon’s match against the 2015 champions.
“Our win against ZPC Kariba is a morale booster for us; we started with a draw, and we were able to pick up maximum points away from home,” he said.
“I just hope that we maintain the resilience and consistency from the games we have played. We are slowly doing fine; this is a new team, and we are still working on a lot of things in terms of cohesion and the way that we defend. There are still areas that we have to work on.”

Kaindu, who guided Dynamos FC to the Chibuku Super Cup title last season, maintains that it’s going to be a competitive season, with the margins still narrow after two matches.
“It’s going to be a very competitive season; if you have seen the first two games that we have played, only one team has managed to record two wins. It shows that there is a lot of competition, and you need to be consistent, especially if there are midweek games,” he stated.
“If we are able to pick up a number of points from the three games that will be played in seven days, it will be good for the team.”
Kaindu further provided a medical report, stating that Zambian striker Andrew Phiri is a doubt following a knock he picked up in the last encounter.
“Martin Mapisa is still undergoing treatment; we just hope that he will be back soon. Andrew Phiri is the only player who may or may not be part of the team, following the injury he sustained in our last game against ZPC Kariba.”
