George Chilufya, Oswald Mutapa or Mumamba Numba, who will win Bolanews fans coach of the month for October?

Zambia’s premier football website Bolanews has released the nomination for the Bolanews coach of the month for October with Mutondo’s Chilufya, Mutapa of Power Dynamos and Kabwe Warriors’ Numba vying to be named.

Earlier this month, Bolanews announced that they would be staging monthly awards to honour the best coach and player in the Super League for the month under review. Fans have the power to choose who they think deserves the award.

For October, the trio of Chilufya, Mutapa and Numba have made the shortlist.

But how did each coach fare?

Chilufya – Mutondo Stars

Appointed at the start of the season following the departure of Zeddy Saileti, Chilufya has managed to have some grip on this Mutondo side having initially struggled to post good results.

October was a good month for Chilufya who recorded two wins and one stalemate in three games played. The victories came against struggling Indeni and Forest Rangers.

On October 26, Mutondo failed to make it three out of three. All they could manage was a 1-all draw against Zanaco at Sunset Stadium in Lusaka.

Do you think this run is good enough to earn Chilufya the award?

Oswald Mutapa – Power Dynamos

Until October, Mutapa was a man under pressure at Author Davies Stadium.

In October, the sun shined bright on Mutapa with his side managing three straight wins starting with the 5 – 0 demolition of  Atletico Lusaka. Other victims were MUZA [1-0] and Kabwe Warriors [2-1].

His side had the meanest defense in October, keeping two clean sheets and conceding one goal.

Will ending Warrior’s unbeaten run and seeing off entertaining Atletico be enough to land Mutapa the award? The power is in your hands.

Mumamba Numba – Warriors

By the time the nominations were concluded, Numba’s Warriors had recorded a draw, a loss and a win in October.

Among the three nominees, he has played more games in October four. Two losses, a draw and a win may mean he has an outside chance to be named the coach of the month. But as you have come to know it, football is full of surprises.
