Despite losing 1-0 to Red Arrows, the former league champions, Zanaco head coach Numba Mumamba of feels his team was superior.
At Nkoloma Stadium, the bankers lost 1-0 to Red Arrows in the 2024–25 Super League season Grand Finale.

Angel Lubamba’s goal in the 52nd minute was enough to seal the victory for the Airmen.
But after Atletico Lusaka fell 2-3 to Zesco United, which put them in the relegation zone, Zanaco barely avoided relegation.
Speaking to journalists after the match, Mumamba said his side lacked confidence to convert their chances into goals.
“A very tough game against the defending Champions Red arrows. I think this is the game that I feel we created chances, but unfortunately we couldn’t convert the chances that we created and Red arrows went ahead and got the victory. But the most important thing is to give thanks to God almighty for making us Survive relegation,”he said.

The former Kabwe Warriors gaffer promised to reinforce his squad in readiness for next season.
“This is the time that we need to get down to work and reorganize ourselves. Most of the players we found are inexperienced so we need to try and fuse in experience in our team so that this team can perform well in the coming season,“added Numba.
Zanaco finished just above the relegation zone with nine wins, thirteen defeats and twelve draws.
