He also won one Coca-Cola Cup trophy, three Charity Shields titles, ABSA Cup and a BP Top 8 trophy.

Kola joined Young Zanaco in 2003, and within the same year, he graduated to the senior team.

During his 22-year stay at the club, Kola went on to captain the side.

He was also part of the team that reached the quarterfinals of the CAF Confederation Cup in 2020.

“I would love to start coaching” – Kola.

The final match of the 2024-25 season against Red Arrows marked the closing of a chapter that has spanned over two decades for the goalkeeper.

In an interview, Kola revealed that he will venture into coaching to help mentor the upcoming goalkeepers.

“I’m feeling okay; I think it’s now time for me to rest, and with the knowledge that I have, I would love to start coaching so that I can give back to the upcoming goalkeepers,” he said.

The 2012 club’s player of the season recalls that it was easy for him to settle in the senior team under the guidance of experienced goalkeepers George Kolala and Kalumba Mpunga.

“I didn’t have any challenge because the time I joined Zanaco, I found big players like George Kolala and Kalumba Mpunga, so they were guiding me very well,” Kola recalled.

Kola urged the players to work hard and make Zanaco a title challenger next season.

“I would like to encourage them to continue working hard and bring back Zanaco to where it belongs,” he concluded.
