High flying Nkwazi FC is without a win in five consecutive games, having recorded four losses and one draw in the 2025-26 Zambian Premier League.
The Police sponsored outfits are sitting in 16th position on the log with 19 points from 23 games played so far.
On Wednesday this week, Nkwazi suffered a 1-0 defeat to Green Eagles at Choma Independence Stadium.
The Lusaka-based side were seeking to bounce back after a 1-1 stalemate against Mutondo Stars in their previous fixture.
Despite the poor run, Nkwazi Football Club Coach Masauso Tembo has backed his boys to bounce back to winning ways.
Tembo told Bolanews in an exclusive interview that his team will get back on track.
“We need to be positive, as the honor remains with us to lift the team up. We now put this game behind us and plan for our next game against Maite on Sunday,” he said.
On the other hand, Tembo felt his team was unlucky to lose the game to Green Eagles.
“It was a difficult game. We played very well and created a lot of chances; unfortunately, luck wasn’t on our side, and we couldn’t bury any chance. That’s painful. We made a change in the first half because George limped off, and that was a setback,” he said.
On Sunday, Nkwazi will host in-form Mufulira Wanderers in a Week 24 fixture.
