Tembo blames his players in Rangers’s defeat to Kabwe Warriors

Tembo attributed the defeat to loss of concentration by his lads during the closing stages of the encounter against Kabwe Warriors.

The players’ lack of focus in the latter moments of the Week Two Super League game against Kabwe Warriors has disappointed Robert Tembo, head coach of the Brave Nchanga Rangers football team.

Rangers opened their league campaign with a bang, beating FC MUZA 3-0 in Week one at home before suffering a 2-0 defeat to Kabwe Warriors on the road on Saturday.

In a post-match interview, Tembo attributed the defeat to a lapse in concentration by his lads in the closing stages of the Week 2 fixture at Railways Stadium.

“I’m not very happy looking at how we have conceded two quick goals in the space of the last five minutes—lack of concentration from my boys,” Tembo said. “It’s just concentration towards the end of the game that has killed us.”

Tembo has now shifted attention to the next match against Indeni Football Club, set for Nchanga Stadium on Wednesday.

“We will go back and do our recovery so that we rectify the mistakes we made; at home, we just have to collect the maximum points.”

“The boys have seen how football is played until the last whistle; you have to concentrate. They have seen that we shouldn’t relax when the game is going towards the end,” concluded.
