FC MUZA head coach Lameck Banda has called for a probe of his team’s style of play after his team’s 0-0 stalemate with ten-man Mufulira Wanderers on Saturday during a Super League Week 2 match in Mazabuka was deemed “unfortunate.”

To get their season off to a good start, MUZA needed to win because they had lost 3-0 to newly promoted Nchanga Rangers in the first week of play.

Despite having a man advantage, things didn’t go as planned for the home side. Owen Mwamba was sent off in the 37th minute for a secoond bookable offence.

Speaking in his post match interview, Banda voiced his displeasure, saying that while the team wanted to win, there was still a lot of work to be done.

“Three-quarters of the team looked heavy. That’s something we need to investigate—why they were so reluctant in pushing the ball,” Banda added.

FC MUZA winless in their last seven matches.

MUZA has failed to score in two league matches this season extending their winless run to seven across all competitions. Their last victory came in April, with a 3-2 win over Power Dynamos. Since then, they’ve lost five games and drawn twice.

With their next fixture against a high-flying Red Arrows side, Banda has called for hard work for his players.

“It was going to be bad if we’re not creating chances but the good thing we are creating chances, the unfortunate part we are not finishing.  We need to improve in that area going into the Arrows game,” Banda emphasized.
