Green Eagles goalkeeper Rodwell Mulungushi is hoping to get more game time next season, after missing much of the previous campaign due to injury.

The former Chambishi FC shot-stopper struggled for form last season following a knee injury that kept him out for a significant period.

Mulungushi, who signed a permanent deal with Green Eagles, has been impressive for the Choma-based side since joining from Chambishi FC.

Speaking exclusively to BolaNews, Mulungushi expressed his desire for more minutes on the pitch next season.

“Last season I had no game fitness, that’s why I didn’t have a good season. This time around I’m back to training and I’m pushing really hard so that I get back to my fine form. I hope under the new coach I will get a chance of playing many games but of course that will only come when I put in more effort because every player is working hard,” he said.

Meanwhile, Green Eagles endured a difficult campaign last season, missing out on a top-six finish in the league standings.

The Choma-based outfit also suffered an early elimination from the 2025 ABSA Cup competition.

Eagles will be aiming for a stronger showing in the upcoming season under new head coach Perry Mutapa, who recently took over the reins.

The Choma giants will kick off their Super League season against NAPSA Stars, before hosting Nchanga Rangers.
