Maybin Mpoyi Reveals Team Target As Wanderers Face Zanaco

Mpoyi said the team needs to be mentally ready for the match in order to maintain their winning streak.

Maybin Mpoyi, the right-back for Mufulira Wanderers Football Club, says the club will play with the proper mindset against Zanaco Football Club in this afternoon’s Week 16 MTN Super League match.

Abena Milambo is on a two-match winning streak while the Bankers have managed to draw their last two matches against Green Eagles and Nchanga Rangers.

Wanderers have beaten Indeni and Forest Rangers to move into the 10 position with 19 points while Zanaco is in the relegation zone.

In an interview with the club’s media, Mpoyi said the team needs to be mentally ready for the match in order to maintain their winning streak.

“The confidence in camp is very high, and I can see the morale of the guys; it’s very high,” Mpoyi said.

“According to the preparation with the team, ilemoneka fye ukuba serious na ready, noti ati twali wina last game with 45 passes; this one is different. We are going into the game with a good attitude and a good character.”

Mpoyi is optimistic Tenant Chilumba’s side is capable of sustaining their winning streak due to their consistent performance and strong team spirit.

“You should expect a win, and we should do our best,” Mpoyi said.

The MTN Super League bursts into action on match day 16 today, sparking excitement in various towns with thrilling matchups.

In Lusaka, there will be a doubleheader at the Edwin Imboela Stadium as Atletico Lusaka hosts Indeni Football Club in a lunchtime kickoff before Nkwazi takes on log leaders Kabwe Warriors at 15:00 CAT.

Nkana Football Club has a date with FC MUZA at Nkana Stadium, while in Ndola, Zesco United will take on Mutondo Stars at Levy Mwanawasa, with Green Eagles hosting second-placed Power Dynamos.

In Chingola, Nchanga Rangers will take on Green Buffaloes at Nchanga Stadium.
