Kansanshi Dynamos assistant coach Dennis Makinka says his side is determined to record a positive result against the MTN Super League champions-elect Power Dynamos when the two meet on Wednesday.
Kansanshi Dynamos will host Power Dynamos in their rescheduled Week 25 fixture at Solwezi’s Independence Stadium.
The Mabanga Boys head into the match on the back of a 1-0 victory over Green Buffaloes last weekend and Makinka is optimistic ahead of the game.
“Obviously, knowing Power and I know the mindset of Coach Oswald; he never wants to lose. He is a coach who always plans for a win. I know it’s going to be a very tough game. I know a lot of people are saying because they have already won the league and because they are playing in the ABSA Cup, but I know this is not going to be the case,” said Makinka.
“Power will come here to try and get all three points, so we are preparing very well. As we have our final session, we are doing everything just to come and try and stop Power.”
Makinka acknowledged Power’s recent form, stating that, “Of course Power is enjoying very good form; they are playing very well. It’s a team that can press so high they are so quick. We are just trying to work on those areas so that we can see and just try to get positive results.”
Kansanshi have been in impressive form, winning their last two matches to revive their hopes of surviving relegation.
The Solwezi-based side currently sits 11th on the table with 38 points from 30 matches played so far.
