Power dynamos this afternoon earned themselves the bragging rights of Kitwe when they defeated their City rivals Nkana 0-1 at the Nkana stadium.

It was the home side that started the game brightly as they controlled the proceedings of the game, and after an exchange of passes, Alex Ng’onga led the ball through to Congolese striker Moussa Lamisa who failed to put the ball behind the back of the net as he shot it over the bar to the frustration of the home fans.

The visitors had the chance to take the lead through Traqelnie Mwapu but Nkana Goalkeeper Kelvin Malunga was equal to the task as he parried away the ball for a corner.

Nkana forward Diamond Chikwekwe had the best chance of the game in the 45th minute when he missed a setter as the two teams went on a break goalless.

In the second half, the Mwenya Chipepo coached side took the lead in the 50th minute when the current league top scorer Kennedy Musonda nodded in a Joshua Mutale cross to score the decisive goal of the match which handed Dynamos victory over the Beston chambishi drilled side.
