The winds of change continue to blow through Godfrey Chitalu Stadium as Kabwe Warriors have officially parted ways with head coach Albert Kachinga, the club confirmed on Sunday.
Kachinga will not have his contract renewed beyond June 2025. The decision, the club says, follows a thorough review of team performance and future ambitions.
After Numba Mumamba left for Zanaco in the middle of the previous season, the seasoned coach assumed control.
“The resolution was made after careful consideration and evaluation of the team’s performance“
The club is committed to finding a suitable replacement who can drive the team forward and achieve success,” read part of the statement by club media and public officer Kelvin Trudeau Musako.
Results were not consistent enough to convince the Kabwe hierarchy to hand Kachinga, an extended mandate. The club expressed gratitude for Kachinga’s services:
“The Kabwe Warriors Executive Committee would like to thank the coach for his dedication and hard work. The club extends its best wishes to him in his future endeavors.”
Sources close to the club hint that the Warriors are eyeing a tactician with top four league experience.
