The MTN Super League Week 4 concluded with FC MUZA leapfrogging Nchanga Rangers to the top of the table after a 1-0 win over Green Eagles in Choma. Rickson Ng’ambi’s 32nd-minute strike proved decisive for the Mazabuka outfit.
Nchanga Rangers, who had started the weekend at the summit, slipped after a 2-0 defeat to Red Arrows at Nkoloma Stadium. Michee Malonga opened the scoring in the 70th minute before Alasane Diarra sealed the win with the last kick of the match in stoppage time.
Green Buffaloes also secured a 2-0 victory over Mines United, courtesy of goals from Bornwell Mwape and Erick Diarra. Meanwhile, Mulira Wanderers suffered their second defeat of the season, going down 1-0 to Zesco United at Shinde Stadium, thanks to a 63rd-minute own goal by Bwembya Kakungu.
At the Godfrey Ucar Chitalu Stadium, Kabwe Warriors maintained their unbeaten run and claimed their first win of the campaign, edging Nkana 1-0 through a 59th-minute strike from Francis Banda.
Elsewhere, Konkola Blades drew 1-1 with FC Leopards. Victor Mubanga put Blades ahead from the penalty spot in the 47th minute, but Gibson Banda equalized in the 75th minute.
On Sunday, Mutondo Stars earned their first win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Kansanshi Dynamos, thanks to a 38th-minute goal from Moses Mulenga. The result, however, was not enough to lift them out of the relegation zone.
