Dennis Makinka, who took over as head coach from Oswald Mutapa at the start of the Zambian Super League’s second round last month, has had a successful run, with two wins and one draw in three games.
The former Nkwazi player returned to Imboela Stadium after being relieved of his duties for the 2021/22 season and replaced by Tenant Chilumba.
Despite losing some key players before the start of the season, Nkwazi has performed well, sitting fifth in the league standings with 37 points after week 23. They need at least 15 points from their last 11 matches to seal their top-six finish.

Speaking to Bolanews in an exclusive interview, Makinka said: “Obviously our target is to finish in the top six.
“We need to keep pace with the top four if we must have any chance of finishing in the top six,” he added.
The Zambia police-sponsored side will on Saturday face Zanaco who are four points behind them in the standings in a week 24 fixture.
