Noah Chivuta, a former Chipolopolo midfielder, has thrown his support behind Kabwe Warriors coach Numba Mumamba to help the team succeed this season.
Power Dynamos leads the table on goals scored, although Kabwe Warriors and Dynamos are level on 28 points.
Mumamba’s side, beat pacesetters, Zesco United 2-0 at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium and leapfroged the Ndola side.
Speaking to BolaNews, Chivuta stated that Kabwe Warriors has done well so far under the tutelage of Mumamba.
He adds that he will need some support from the club management to reinforce the squad.
“I follow Kabwe Warriors and Roan United as well. So far, coach Numba has done a very good job,” the former Kabwe Warriors said.
“You know what lacks with our clubs; sometimes it’s just a lack of injection of sponsorship; sometimes we blame the coaches like you haven’t been doing well, but do we give enough capacity for them to perform?”
The 2012 Africa Cup of Nations (AfCON) winner believes Kabwe Warriors will return to continental football under the guidance of Mumamba.
“I just wish they could get into continental football very soon because Kabwe Warriors were known for that from the Midlands. They were the ones who had dominated more apart from Nkana and Power. I think Warriors in continental sits as one of the best in the Midlands; we just hope those glory days will come back,” he stated.
