Napsa Stars assistant coach Zeddy Saileti is optimistic that his team can climb out of the relegation zone if they manage to win two consecutive matches.
Napsa Stars will host Nchanga Rangers in their Week 24 fixture at Reiz Arena on Thursday afternoon.
The Pensioners are coming off a 1-1 draw against Green Buffaloes last weekend and will be seeking to return to winning ways in front of their home fans.
Napsa Stars are currently deep in the relegation zone with 24 points from 23 games played.
A victory for the Pensioners could move them a step closer to climbing out of the relegation zone.
We need to focus – Saileti
Speaking to the club’s media ahead of the match, Saileti said consistency will be key if the team is to avoid relegation.
“Not really, but this is football; anything can happen. If we can win two games consistently, I think we will be out of relegation, so if you look at the games, all the games are very difficult at this moment,” Saileti said.
“All the teams are trying to beat relegation, and some of the teams are trying to win the Championship, so for us as Napsa, we just need to be focused and play as a team and get the maximum points,” he added.
Saileti also expressed satisfaction with the team’s preparations ahead of Thursday’s match.
“Preparations have been going on very smoothly because I can see the morale is high, the players are very happy, they are enjoying the drills, and they are enjoying the games. We have gone two games without dropping points, so we are looking forward. We are confident and ready for Thursday’s game,” noted Saileti.
