FIFA agent Chiti Chitundu has urged Power Dynamos and Red Arrows to recruit players with “proven international experience” if they are to perform well in the Confederation of African Football (CAF) inter-club competitions.

Power Dynamos will return to the CAF Champions League after winning the Super League, while Arrows, the ABSA Cup champions, will compete in the second-tier CAF Confederation Cup.

Chitundu, who was Zambia’s first FIFA agent, said there is a need for clubs to tap into the market for quality players.

“My advice is that they should recruit players proven in CAF competitions, players that are in good form, and not just go for names,”

Chitundu told BolaNews in an interview.
He said there is a need for clubs to conduct due diligence before venturing into the market.

“Due diligence is needed. What happened at Zesco United, where the club signed Nigerians without any traceable track record, was unfortunate,” Chitundu said.
