13-time Zambian Super League winners Nkana Football Club have confirmed the appointment of Elijah Tana as head coach.
Last season, Kalampa sent former head coach Mwenya Chipepo and first assistant Christopher Katongo on administrative leave on March 2.
While Tana, who was one of the assistants, was appointed to act on an interim basis.
In his 12 matches in charge, the former Chipolopolo defender, registered three wins, five draws, and four defeats.
Josphat Nkhoma will assist Tana as first assistant coach and Donashano Malama as second assistant coach.
Michael Poto will continue in his role as goalkeeper coach, as Simon Bwalya maintains the senior team physical trainer’s role.
Nkana FC Chief Executive Officer Mwansa Kapyanga said that the technical bench, possesses the qualities to drive the team forward.
“We are confident in the technical team we have assembled and believe they possess the qualities required to drive the club forward and satisfy the club’s sporting and strategic parameters,” Kapyanga said.
“Nkana Football Club wishes the technical bench success as preparations for the forthcoming season continue. They have our full support as they work towards achieving the club’s objectives.”
