“The same thing happened in the game against Forest Rangers when match officials were denied my side a clear goal,"- complained Mbewe.

FC MUZA, representing Zambia in the CAF Confederation Cup, has climbed into the top four of the Super League following a valiant comeback that saw them force a 1-1 draw against Red Arrows.

Both teams remain undefeated as MUZA moved in fourth position after three games played so far in the League.

However, Red Arrows head Coach Chisi Mbewe says poor officiating from the match officials cost his side victory against FC MUZA in a rescheduled matchday two fixture at Nkoloma Stadium.

Rickson Ngambi of the MUZA football club scored a well-taken free kick to tie the score in the 70th minute and save a point for the Mazabuka-based team after Ricky Banda gave the home team the lead in the 14th minute.

Mbewe claims that if it weren’t for the dubious match officiating, his team would have scored the most points.

“I think we played better and missed a lot of chances. But I feel like bad decisions from the Referee throughout the game cost us victory. Our played made the right challenge but the Officials awarded a free kick which changed everything,” he said.

“The same thing happened in the game against Forest Rangers when were denied a clear goal. Be we will not continue complaining, instead we will go back into training and focus on our next game,” he added.

“We are on course to reach our goals,”- Mbewe.

“I think so far so good about the season. The players are committed and aware of the season-long objectives, he stated.
