Battle Of Formers: Forest Rangers Vs Nkana, Who Wants It More?

As, Nkana, attempts to get closer to the top of the MTN Super League, Mwenya Chipepo will take his charges to his previous employer, Forest Rangers in a Week 29 fixture on Saturday.

Kalampa won 2-0 in Kitwe continuing their domination with 13 victories in 25 games since 2010, compared to Rangers’ seven.

Nkana on 49 points trail league leaders and bitter rival, Power Dynamos by five points.

The Kitwe giants’ hopes of winning the championship and continental football next season, may increase if Kalampa wins this game.

Kalampa comes into this match fresh off a 4-1 victory over Indeni in a midweek match played at Nkana last Thursday.

With 29 points, Forest Rangers, led by former Nkana coach Ian Bakala, 16th placed are winless in their eight games.

Forest has played 29 games this season, winning eight, drawing 14, and losing nine. In their most recent league game, Forest and Nkwazi drew 0-0 in Lusaka.

With players like Idris Mbombo, Lazarus Kambole, Jacob Ngulube, Captain Harrison Chisala, and Moses Phiri, among others, Chipepo is well-positioned to take advantage of a wide range of attacking possibilities.

Kalampa could move into second place with 52 points with a win at Dola Hill on Saturday.
