Nester Ahab Lukupa, a recently recruited midfielder for NAPSA Stars, believes that playing alongside seasoned players at the Lusaka-based team will help him fit in at the club.
Lukupa is one of the two signings that the Sipho Mumbi-drilled side has acquired ahead of the new season.
He joined the Pensioners on a two-year deal as a free agent after his contract expired with Lumwana Radiants.
Before leaving Kabwe Warriors to join Radiants, Lukupa, who also played for them, had a tremendous season under coach Chabby Chabala.
Speaking to the club’s media in an interview, he is looking forward to positively contributing to the team.
“I am excited to be here, it’s a big club, ambitious; collectively, the team is great with big names. It’s an inspiration. There is Chapa, Nkhata I think the midfield is great going forward – super sharp. Looking forward to put my foot down quickly and contributing positively,” he said.
“To the Tangala fans, I am excited to be here; your boy is in the building. I will wear this shirt with pride and make sure I contribute to the brand faithfully, and I am looking forward to the 2025-26 season.”
In the opening match of the 2025-26 ZPL season, NAPSA Stars will face Green Eagles.
