Aggrey Chiyanga happy with newly signed Eagles foreign players

Green Eagles head coach Aggrey Chiyangi is happy with the club’s new international signing and has described the move by the club management to allow the team to sign Foreign players as a step in the right direction.

Chanyangi added that change in the club’s transfer policy is a positive move which will enable the his side have more depth to compete in the Super League.

” It is a step in the right direction and obviously it was about time, I think the move will help the team going forward.

” It is a positive move for the team, and I thank sponsors for this move, it will certainly help the team,” he said.

Before the season started, the Zambia National service(ZNS) sponsored side were given the green light to sign foreign players for the first time in the history of the club which has seen the Choma-based side sign two Burundian strikers, Jules Ulimwengu and Aaron Musore who are the first foreign players to be registered on the books of Green Eagles.

During the 2021/22 Season, Chiyenga publicly complained to the media, about the poor conversion rate among Zambian strikers and challenged anyone to show him or recommend to him a Zambian striker whom he could have signed for his side.

Chayangi was also on record saying Zambia was in a crisis of quality and that the failure to in the Super League by Zambian strikers was a national issue and not only a Green Eagles problem.

Meanwhile, his side side is currently sitting in the 14th position with 7 points after the week 6 in the Zambian Super League having lost 2-0 to Kansanshi Dynamos over the weekend.
