Zambian champions ZESCO Ndola Girls have been drawn in Group A alongside hosts Gaborone United, Lesotho Defence Force Ladies and Herentals Queens for the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League COSAFA Qualifiers.

The draw sets up an immediate opportunity for ZESCO to avenge last year’s heartbreaking exit, when they suffered a 4-3 penalty shootout defeat to Gaborone United in the final, missing out on both the COSAFA title and a place in the CAF Women’s Champions League.

The tournament draw is as follows:

GROUP A GROUP B
Gaborone United FC (Botswana)Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies FC (South Africa)
Lesotho Defence Force Ladies (Lesotho)Nsingizini Hotspurs FC (Eswatini)
ZESCO Ndola Girls FC (Zambia)Clube de Desportos da Costa do Sol (Mozambique)
Herentals Queens FC (Zimbabwe)Silver Strikers FC (Malawi)

This year’s qualifying tournament will be held in Gaborone, Botswana, from August 20 to 29.

Gaborone United represented the COSAFA region at the 2025 CAF Women’s Champions League and will be aiming to defend their regional title.

Meanwhile, ZESCO Ndola Girls are currently holding a pre-season training camp in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, as they prepare for the tournament in Gaborone.
