With Morocco already qualifying as hosts for the 15th edition of the WAFCON, defending champions South Africa followed suit following their 3-1 win on aggregate against Burkina Faso.

For the 11-time Champions and the most successful team on the continent, Nigeria, a 7-1 win across the two-legged tie against Cape Verde saw them match on to their record-breaking 15th consecutive appearance.

Zambia and Mali were, however, the highest scorers, beating their opponents 12-0 and 10-2, respectively.

The Southern African giants beat Angola 6-0 on the night, equaling the number of goals scored in the first leg a week prior, while Mali also edged out Guinea 3-0 away from home, with the reverse fixture ending 7-2.

Meanwhile, Namibia ended Ghana’s 10-game unbeaten streak with a 1-0 defeat on home soil, but it wasn’t enough to see them book their ticket to the WAFCON after losing 3-2 on aggregate.
