Nora Hauptle and her Ghana’s Black Queens are undefeated, with nine straight victories and no goals conceded.

The Swiss coach has not lost a match since her appointment in January of this year.

The Black Queens defeated Benin 2-0 in the second leg in Accra on Tuesday evening. The result meant they advanced to the third round of qualifiers with a 5-0 aggregate win.

They will now face Zambia’s Copper Queens, who were handed a walkover in the second round due to Mali’s withdrawal from the competition.

The Copper Queens have not lost a match since their historic 3-1 win against Costa Rica at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, with the exception of the Cosafa Cup, where only local-based players were selected.

They defeated Morocco 0-2 and 6-2 in two back-to-back friendly matches in September.

Only eight countries are remaining in the race for Africa's two slots at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games Women's football tournament.

The winner of the match between Zambia and Ghana on February 19th and 28th, 2024, will face the winner of the two-legged matchup between Morocco and Tunisia for a spot at the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.

Bruce Mwape’s charges will aim to make back-to-back appearances at the Olympics. They were Africa’s sole representative at the 2020 Tokyo edition.

Zambian star Barbra Banda, who became the first player to score consecutive hat-tricks at the last Olympics will be eager to return to the tournament.

The 23-year-old Shanghai Shengli forward was also the first African female player to score six goals in a FIFA-organised tournament.

She beat the three-goal record set by Nkiru Okasieme and Gaëlle Enganamouit in the 1999 and 2015 World Cups, respectively
