Manchester United blew their leads twice to lose 2-3 to Galatasaray, while Arsenal suffered a 2-1 loss in Matchday 2 of the UEFA Champions League.
Galatasaray came from behind to beat the Red Devils at Old Trafford, handing them their second successive defeat in the opening two games of the Champions League for the first time in the club’s history.
United scored through Rasmus Hojlund, who netted a brace, but goals from Wilfred Zaha, Karem Akturkoglu, and Mauro Icardi, who earlier in the match missed a penalty, were enough for the Turkish side to emerge victorious.
Arsenal also fell 1-2 to French Ligue 1 side Lens in France to lose their first game of the season in all competitions. They scored first through Bukayo Saka, who was unfortunately substituted due to injury in the 34th minute.
Lens’ Elye Wahi and Adriene Thomasson scored to secure a massive victory for the French side.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid’s new signing, Jude Bellingham, was the center of attention yet again after putting up another top performance.
He scored and provided an assist for Vinicious Jr. before Los Blancos scored the winner in the 78th minute through Fede Valvede’s shot, which hit the post and deflected into the net on Napoli’s goalkeeper Alex Meret’s back to beat Napoli 2-3 in Italy.
There were also wins for Bayern Munich, Inter Milan, and Real Sociedad.
