Roma are reportedly interested in signing Leicester City striker Patson Daka, according to Italy’s La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The publication further says, Roma’s sports manager, Tiago Pinto, and CEO, Lina Souloukou, flew to England on Monday to hold talks with West Ham about a possible transfer of Gianluca Scamacca, but the talks have stalled.
calciomercato.com, another Italian publication, reports that Roma has now turned their attention to Leicester City for Daka.
This follows significant difficulties in negotiations with West Ham for Scamacca. Roma is looking for a replacement for the injured Tammy Abraham.
This is not the first time Daka has been linked with a move to Roma. He was also a potential signing for the club in 2021 before they bought Abraham from Chelsea.

Jose Mourinho is said to be an admirer of the Zambian, and a deal could happen during the current transfer window.
Meanwhile, Leicester City is now reportedly open to letting Daka leave on loan with the option to buy.
With the club now relegated from the Premier League, they are willing to let the Zambian leave and save around €4 million which he earns as they look to reduce their wage bill.
