Patson Daka etched his name into the history books by becoming the first Zambian international to score in the FA Cup. His spectacular strike from outside the box put Leicester City in front against Cheltenham, who were beaten 2-0 in the third round of the competition.

Elsewhere, Lameck Banda was given his marching orders against Parma after catching Enrico Del Prato with his studs. The dynamic winger had earlier set up Nikola Stulic’s first-minute opener with a wonderful cross from the left wing.

It was a quiet afternoon for Kings Kangwa and Hapoel Be’er Sheva, who settled for a goalless draw with Maccabi Haifa on Saturday. Meanwhile, Songa Chipyoka lasted 82 minutes for Hapoel Petah Tikva as they walloped Ironi Tiberias 4-1 in the Israeli Premier League.

Emmanuel Banda clocked 63 minutes in Maccabi Bney Reine’s 1-0 defeat to Beitar Jerusalem. Meanwhile, in Saudi Arabia, Fashion Sakala featured for over 90 minutes in Al Fayha’s 1-1 draw with Al Riyadh.

Leganes B call up Hamansenya from youth team; Frankie tastes defeat in Bahrain again

David Hamansenya kept a cleansheet against Mexico FC in his debut for Leganes B in the Spanish fifth tier. The left back had only previously featured for the Leganes U19 team in the youth team.

In Rwanda, Obino Chisala made the starting XI for Al Merrikh, who shared points with Makura while Golden Mashata was an unused substitute for Hapoel Raanana in Israel.

Frankie Musonda‘s Bahrain FC fell 1-0 to Riffa SC in the Bahrain topflight. The defender played over 90 minutes on Friday.

Peter Chikola finally made his debut for Linares Deportivo as the club failed to registered him in the summer due to bureaucratic reasons. He made his second appearance during a 2-0 loss vs. CDA Aguilas in the Spanish fourth tier.

Still in Spain, Twizard Mulenga also returned to the pitch to Cadiz B after missing the first half of the season. Aaron Mbemba Phiri was an unused substitute on Sunday after having started the previous match for Cadiz B.

In Scotland, Chanka Zimba started for Inverness Caledonian Thistle in their 0-0 stalemate against Cave Rangers. Meanwhile, Zambia U20 striker Emmanuel Mutale clocked 90 minutes for Gulf United U21, who drew 1-1 in the UAE U21 league in Dubai.

Miguel Chaiwa and Joseph Sabobo Banda missed the weekend’s action, while Joseph Liteta was unavailable for Cagliari U20 as he prepares for an Italian Serie A encounter with the first team against Genoa.
