Al-Nassr clinched the Saudi Pro League title on Thursday after defeating Dhamk 4-1, handing Cristiano Ronaldo his first major trophy since moving to Asia, according to TNT Sports.

Al-Nassr secured their first league title since 2019 on the final day of the season with the emphatic victory at King Saud University Stadium.

Ronaldo scored the team’s final two goals after Sadio Mane and Kingsley Coman had given Al-Nassr a two-goal advantage.

Morlaye Sylla pulled one back for Dhamk, but Ronaldo’s free-kick from a tight angle and a close-range finish sealed both the victory and the title for Al-Nassr.

The triumph marks the first major silverware for Ronaldo, 41, since joining the club in 2023.

The title success comes just days after Al-Nassr missed the chance to wrap up the championship in the penultimate game of the season following a dramatic 98th-minute own goal by goalkeeper Bento in a 1-1 draw against title rivals Al-Hilal.

Ronaldo was seen in tears on the bench after the final whistle of that match.

After netting his second goal against Dhamk, the Portuguese star was emotional once again as he pointed toward Al-Nassr supporters in the stands.

In recent weeks, Al-Nassr also suffered defeat in the final of the Asian Champions League Two, Asia’s second-tier club competition.

Heading into Thursday’s final round of fixtures, Al-Nassr needed to better Al-Hilal’s result to remain at the top of the table.
