Following three consecutive defeats, some fans of Nchanga Rangers have become unruly, a situation that has forced Club president Shapi Shachinda to issue a warning to violent fans.

Nchanga Rangers have lost three games in a row, a situation that has not settled well with the local fans hence settling for violence at the Stadium.

Brave Rangers are two points behind the league leaders Lumwana Radiants in second place with 58 points from 30 matches.

On Saturday, they suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Red Arrows in the semifinals of the 2024 ABSA Cup tournament at Arthur Davies Stadium.

Speaking to the Club’s media, Shachinda thanked the supporters for their overwhelming support to the team but expressed disappointment with the behavior of some unruly fans.

“Our supporters have been a massive boost to the boys and everyone around the team. We have seen a high degree of commitment from supporters to helping our boys. Our supporters have been a pillar to the team. Indeed, Nchanga Rangers is ours! It is theirs! Abene be team,” he said.

“However, we have noted that we still have some ugly elements of hooliganism and other unsavory conduct rearing its head at Nchanga Stadium. In the last couple of matches our team has endured a poor form.

During the 2022-2023 Super league season, FAZ imposed a Stadium ban for supporters at Nchanga Stadium.

“The Club is in the process of installing CCTV cameras and also using drones to identify troublemakers who will also face severe sanctions” he said.
