Roan United have established themselves as the early pacesetters in the ZPL National League, collecting 18 points from their opening fixtures to underline their title credentials. The former Super League winners have been the most prolific side in the competition so far, netting 10 times and only conceding once. Wilfred Chitembo leads their scoring chart with two goals.

Chasing closely are Chirundu United, who sit second on 14 points. They remain unbeaten after six matches, with four wins and two draws. Spearheaded by in-form forwards Philimon Chilimina and Godfrey Chinga—both on three goals and among the league’s top scorers—Chirundu have scored seven times while conceding just two, reflecting their balance between attack and defence.

Newcomers Makeni All Stars continue to impress after their 2-0 win over Lumwana Radiants, joining former Super League side Trident on 13 points to occupy third and fourth place respectively.

Forest Rangers struggling in ZPL national league

Forest Rangers, despite being unbeaten, find themselves in fifth with 10 points. Their defensive resilience has seen them allow only one goal, but their lack of firepower—just four goals scored—could hinder their push for top spots. Level on points with Forest are Kafue Celtic, who round out the top six.

The mid-table picture is tightly contested, with Locus (7th), Aguila Stars (8th), and Chipata City Council (9th) all locked on eight points. Jumulo and Mpulungu Harbour trail slightly with six points each in 10th and 11th place.

At the lower end, Chambishi (12th) sit just above the relegation zone with five points, level with River Plate (13th), Lumwana Radiants (14th), and Kitwe United (15th)—the latter recording only one win. Indeni and Ndola United are yet to register a victory, stuck on four and three points respectively, while Atletico Lusaka anchors the table with a single point.
