Nchanga Rangers head coach Robert Tembo says their objective right now is to finish the league as National Division One winners.
Nchanga defeated Young Green Buffaloes FC 3-1 over the weekend in a week-34 FAZ National Division One League match at the Nchanga Stadium in Chingola.
The Brave need only three points to win the 2023–24 National Division One League.
Speaking exclusively with Bolanews, Tembo stated that the team has no choice but to win their final game in order to be crowned champions.
“We are going to plan for the Kitwe United game and being away for sure, it’s not going to be easy, but we have no option for us to win the league; we just have to go and win that game. So we will go back to the drawing board with my technical staff and see how we are going to plan for that game and at the end of full time, hopefully, we go and carry the day that side,” said Tembo.
The Nchanga Rangers manager stated that the team would fight until the end.
“It was a sweet victory, you know. Looking at the way things are, you don’t have to leave the stone unturned; it just has to go to the last game. We can see Lumwana also won so we have got nothing but to win the last game so that we emerge victorious,” noted the coach.
After missing out on the ABSA Cup, the Chingola-based team will be hoping to win the National Division One title.
Nchanga will face Kitwe United as they look to finish the national league on a high.
